Stewardship
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10
We teach that God makes us managers of man of His possessions such as our time, talents, money, knowledge, relationship, our bodies and this world. We support good stewardship through our teaching and our actions. We offer Financial Peace University, Bible Classes on Stewardship and care of the environment, as well as we maintain an Adopt-A-Highway project and perform various acts of community clean-up throughout the year.
Family Life Ministry
But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24:15
Our congregation seeks to support good Christian parenting, strong marriages, as well as positive relationships with one another through our Family Life Ministry. Through the year we offer classes on marriage and relationship. We gather new parents, parents of 2nd graders, parents of middle school students and parents of high school students once a year to discuss best practices for faith development in their children during those times of life. We also offer pre-marital counseling, and promote Community Marriage Builders.
Worship, Music, and the Arts
And they devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Acts 2:42
Worship is central to the Christian life. The gathering together of the people of God to receive the forgiveness of sins and be built-up through Word and Sacrament is essential to walking as a disciple of Christ. Music can be a big part of the worship as it is a powerful way to join the all-powerful Word of God, with the congregation making a joyful noise in unison in this proclamation! We offer opportunities for involvement in several aspects of our worship together to the glory of God:
Traditional Worship Choir
Festival Brass
Contemporary Worship Praise Band
Ushers
Greeters
Mary (Altar) Circle
Sound Board Operators (for both Traditional & Contemporary Worship)
Visitor Follow-up
Welcome and Information Desk Hosts
Member Ministry
And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. Acts 2:44-45
Care for one another as the community of people gathered around Word and Sacrament is a great blessing that God provides for his people through his people. Depending on the season of life, sometimes we could use some help. Maybe it’s just a listening ear perhaps it’s a little more. While we are not always able to help with all of life’s issues, we are dedicated to helping you learn as a follower of Jesus, live as a friend and love as a servant. We offer various helping ministries:
Pastoral Care
Pastoral Counseling
Small Group Ministries
Parish Nursing
Fellowship Events
Meal Train Care
Member ALMS support
Lutheran Family Counseling
